What size SD card do I need, and is one included?

Every Driveye system comes with a FREE 128GB High-Endurance microSD card included right out of the box. Engineered specifically for continuous loop recording, this high-speed card ensures reliable performance. If you require extended storage archives, the system seamlessly supports upgrades to microSD cards up to 256GB.

Do I absolutely need a hardwire kit to use 24-hour Parking Mode?

Yes. Standard 12V cigarette lighter outlets lose power when the engine shuts off. One of the Parking Monitoring Hardwire Kit is essential because it taps directly into a continuous power source from your vehicle's fuse box, safely funneling a steady, low-power current to the camera while the ignition is off.

Can l connect the dash cam to both iOS and Android devices?

Yes, our mobile app supports iOS and Android. Simply download it from the App Store or Google Play.

Does the dash cam have a built-in battery?

No, for safety reasons, it does not have a built-in lithium battery. Instead, it uses super capacitors, which are more heat-resistant and durable, ensuring reliable performance even in extreme temperatures ranging from -22'F to 158°F(-30'C to 70°C). This prevents over heating and extends the lifespan of the device.

Does the dash cam require Wi-Fi to operate?

No. The dash cam records and functions normally without Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is only needed when transferring videos or photos to the app. For better power efficiency and longer device lifespan, we recommend turning Wi-Fi off when not in use.
